We presently host three conferences in the Dominican Republic:
"Radiante" Ladies Conference: This is a weekend (Friday evening to mid-day Sunday conference scheduled for early to mid February held at a camp located 30 minutes from our Mission House. Ladies from all of the Dominican churches we support join American ladies for a weekend of praise, worship, testimonies, small group discussions, crafts fellowship and fun. The visiting American missions team leads and staffs the conference.
The next conference is scheduled for February 8-10, 2019.
"En La Orilla" (On the Edge) Youth conference: This is a weekend (Friday evening to mid-day Sunday) conference scheduled the middle of July. Dominican teens age 15 and up from the Dominican churches we support join American senior high school and college students for a weekend of praise, worship, testimonies, small group discussions, crafts, games and trip to local water park. The visiting American youth missions team leads and staffs the conference.
The next conference is scheduled for July 12-14, 2019.
Together/Juntos Family Ministry conference: This conference brings together educators and youth sponsors from the Dominican and the United States. The goal is to partner together as the global church, because we were never meant to do faith alone. Through worship, training, and small groups, we share ideas and build relationships that help advance the mission of the local church. Jesus is the hope of the world, and the local church is His plan to reach the world. We were meant to build one another up, because we really are better together.
Swiss Cove Christian Church led this team with experienced American youth sponsors, teachers and leaders. Close to 50 Dominicans attended in June 2018; we anticipate this will become an annual event (no date has been selected for 2019).
